What made you choose FSU?

I chose FSU because of the CARE program. Being a first-generation student who was the first person to go to college in my family, had a lot of challenges, which CARE helped support me through.

Your advice to an incoming freshman?

My advice to freshmen would be to get involved early. Getting involved opens up so many new doors and opportunities, while building your resume and professionalism, so it’s great to get that experience early.

Most impactful resource/experience during your time at FSU?

My most impactful experience was the CARE Summer Bridge Program, a six-week program that teaches incoming first-generation students about the transition into college life, professionalism, and much more. I met some of my best friends through this program, and it has really shaped me into the leader I am today.

Fun Fact About You?

I can play guitar.

Your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is the Union. I love hanging out there with my friends in between classes, and there are always cool events going on.
