Every March, FSU’s CARE program invites first-generation students to share resources and strategies for success in college, graduate school, and career at the Horizons Unlimited Conference.
Every September, HLSU commemorates the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month. This year, singer, actor, and songwriter Adassa headlined the event!
Each year during Homecoming Week, BSU hosts a spirited pep rally where we bring out student performers from all three Tallahassee Colleges to put on a performance for all students to enjoy.
Every fall, the Jewish Student Union’s Erev Rosh Hashanah Dinner, in collaboration with our affiliates, brings together students and community members to celebrate the Jewish New Year with a festive meal and meaningful reflection.
Sofia Martinez, an honors student in the School of Communication, found an unforgettable opportunity to intern with Nike in Los Angeles because of FSU.

Miguel is a proud FSU alumnus whose passion for service and mentorship was shaped through his academic and leadership experiences. Today, as a motivational speaker, he shares stories of first-generation students and community leaders overcoming barriers to success.
