Florida State has a storied athletic history, boasting 20 national championships across nine sports with seven in the past 15 seasons. Celebrating 80 years of intercollegiate sports in 2026-27, Florida State is consistently recognized as a top athletic department in the country, finishing among the 25-best programs 18 times since 2006. Entering just its 80th season in 2026, Florida State football has won three national championships, the youngest program in the country to win a football title. FSU’s soccer program has won five national titles since 2014 – including three of the last five after its win in 2025 – and the softball program hoisted the Women’s College World Series trophy in 2018.

Florida State has won 20 national championships and has claimed 151 conference titles since joining the ACC in 1991-92. The Seminoles placed 12th in last year's Learfield Director's Cup standings, showcasing the comprehensive success of Florida State Athletics, and are consistently among the country's best in student-athlete academic performance.

FSU Lakefront Park and Challenge Program
Scale the climbing wall, spike a volleyball, swim, sun, or sail at FSU's 73-acre lakefront property. Lakefront Park is also home to the FSU Challenge, featuring high and low ropes courses and other teambuilding activities.

Outdoor Pursuits offers a variety of exciting outdoor opportunities for students and staff, including day and weekend trips during semesters.
Bowling and Billiards
A 12-lane bowling center located in the Student Union in the heart of campus, formerly known as Crenshaw Lanes, has been an FSU tradition since 1964.
