Strong Students and Outcomes

The middle 50% high school GPA for the Summer/Fall 2023 freshman class was 4.2-4.5; middle 50% SAT scores were 1330-1410; and middle 50% ACT Composite scores were 29-32.

Our students have received prestigious national scholarships and fellowships, including Rhodes Scholarships (2009, 2008 and 2005), Truman Scholarships, Fulbright Fellowships, a Goldwater Scholarship, a Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship, a Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship, a Fulbright Hays Award and a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship.

There were 49 first-year students and a total of 150 National Merit Scholars enrolled in fall 2024.

Florida State University won the 2021 Degree Completion Award from The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU), recognized as the most prominent award in the country for student success.

FSU set new records in student success with a 78% four-year graduation rate and a record retention rate of 97%, ranking Florida State among the top five public universities in the nation.
