Dry Ice Safety Training

Dry Ice is the frozen form of Carbon Dioxide (CO₂). Unlike most solids, it does not melt into a liquid, but instead changes or sublimates directly into a gas. While Dry Ice offers many useful applications both commercially and in research by preserving objects at exceptionally low temperatures, if handled, stored or disposed of incorrectly, it can also present serious hazards.

Environmental Health and Safety requires anyone working with or around Dry Ice at the University to take this brief, one-time training.
