Hazard Agents Used in Research Animals Training

The online training “Hazard Agents Used in Research Animals Training” is offered to researchers who use hazardous materials such as radioisotopes, chemicals, lasers, etiologic agents and/or other hazardous materials or techniques associated with an animal research project. This training is designed to be used as a guide to performing a risk assessment to determine the potential for injury or illness to laboratory personnel and animal care personnel who handle animals and/or bedding during or after treatment with hazardous materials, processes, or equipment. This training will also assist researchers on how to complete the required Appendix B for research that would use hazardous materials in animals.

After you have completed the training you must complete and submit the registration form at the end of the training to receive credit. A confirmation email will be sent to you shortly after completion. If for some reason you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact Laymon Gray at 850-645-2279 to ensure you receive credit for completing the course. A comment form will be provided at the end of the training module. Please take time to complete the form so we can serve your needs better in the future.

If you have any questions about the training, or about hazards related to Biosafety, please contact:
