Speakers

Mr. George R. Langford, Bronze Star recipient and Chairman of the Municipal Code Corporation. He is available on an occasional basis to speak about the goals of the Institute from the perspective of a World War II veteran. As a member of the 20th Armored Division, he trained at Fort Campbell Kentucky as a combat engineer. Later, participating in the famed "Red Ball Express" which rushed supplies to the front, he served until the end of the war in the European Theater of Operations as a member of 3083 M.V.D. Company.

Dr. Oldson is the director of the Institute on World War II and a professor in History.  He teaches a Senior Seminar for graduating History majors "The World War II Experience" as well as a variety of offerings on the Holocaust, WWII, and Eastern Europe.  Dr. Oldson is available to speak to reunions on an occasional basis (this is a free service, dependent only on Dr. Oldson being free at the time of your reunion). If you would like to have him speak at your reunion on the urgency and value of preserving veterans' memorabilia, call him.

Other Institute's staff are also available who have spoken at reunions, retirement communities and special events like conferences at the American World War II Orphans Network and International Oral History Conference

If you would like someone to speak at an event please e-mail
