The above picture is of a service flag that was placed in the front window representing a family member in the war.  This family member had three sons in the war and they all made it made back safely after the war was over.

The Blue star represents hope and pride.  If the Blue star was switched out to a gold star it meant the family member was killed in action.  The gold star represents sacrifice to the cause of liberty and freedom.
