Clarence Inniss left an account of his time in service that gives insight into the Army experience in the European theatre.  Inniss joined the Army on June 7, 1943 and subsequently served in support capacities in some of the most memorable events of the war, including the D-Day invasion and the Battle of the Bulge.  The oral history interview in his file with the Institute gives an excellent glimpse into the experience of an African-American soldier in the conflict.
