Collection Donation
(Memorabilia)

We accept donations related World War II (1936-49) "Great Depression" to "Early Occupation."  We seek items representing military service from all theaters of operation.  In addition, we also want Red Cross, USO activities, Nurse Corps, women in the military, women on the Home Front, OSS, civilian workers at military bases, defense factories and volunteers on the Home Front. Areas we are especially concerned with are:  African-American and Native-American accounts.

  • Personal papers

  • letters

  • diaries

  • scrapbooks

  • memoirs

  • photographs

  • films

  • maps

  • flight  or ship logs

  • military documents

  • unit histories

  • books

  • art (paintings, drawings, etc)

  • cartoons

  • music (old records)

  • poetry

  • unit newsletters

  • shipyard or defense plant newspapers

  • business records pertaining to the war

  • small town or school newspapers

  • oral history interviews

Monetary Donation
(Building Campaign)

Our dream is for a building to permanently house the WWII Collections that have been donated since 1997 and all future donations; namely a large enough building to have a auditorium, lecture room, research room, museum exhibit rooms, processing room, preservation room, etc.
