|
I WANT TO SAVE YOUR
MEMORIES OF THE WAR THAT SAVED THE WORLD The Institute on World War II and the Human Experience has as its focus the preservation of the memories of the men and women who served both in uniform and on the Home Front. Its coverage includes all nations and geographical areas as well as the entire range of miltiary and civilian wartime occupations [Marines to Merchant Mariners to USO]. Nothing in the way of memorabilia, interview comments, or family history [including childhood memories] should be considered unimportant in this effort to guarantee the safekeeping of our national heritage of duty well done. Examples of items that have been donated are letters, diaries, manuscripts, photographs, military documents, memoirs, newspapers and newsletters from bases & defense plants, uniforms, ration coupons, maps, books, 40mm mortar shell, deactivated grenade, service papers, 90mm anti-aircraft shell, magazines, Neptunus Rex certificate, drawings, cartoons, etc. The Institute needs your help to preserve your WWII memorabilia. Do not let your memorabilia be thrown away because you think no one is interested in your personal account of WWII. You can make a difference one more time for today and the future generations.
