The Alpha Women of Women's Studies:

We are all goddesses, cartoon characters and super heroes!


Elyse Cornelison is the Women's Studies Program Assistant.  She is also the Program Assistant for FSU's Women in Math, Science, and Engineering Program (WIMSE). She is a Graduate of the FSU Anthropology Department, and is an archaeologist. Elyse has two children, and is married to another archaeologist.  Instead of hiding their Easter eggs, Elyse's family simply buries them in the back yard.

Hera, Queen of the Gods and goddess of marriage.


Danielle  Kotaska, a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Women's Studies Program, is a Master's candidate in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing and  is minoring in Women's Studies. Danielle is  assisting Dr. Carbonell in the Psychology of Women's class being taught this semester. She has a  wonderful cat named Angel, loves sushi, and enjoys Woody Allen movies.

Wonder Woman, wields the lasso of truth.


Nolan Smith is currently a sophomore Women's Studies Major at FSU, with a minor in English.  She lives in a house that contains five women, two dogs, two cats, and a fish named Steve.  After graduation, Nolan plans to attend law school, or get her Masters in Library Science (whichever is cheaper).  Her favorite things are Kat, the Samrat vegetarian buffet, Pilot pens, and her cat Josie's pooch.

Morgaine: Half sister to King Arthur and priestess extraordinaire.


Jackie Rodriguez  is currently a Junior at Florida State University where she's  planning on majoring in International Affairs.  She loves the Romance languages and is currently able to speak Spanish and a little French.  She's also one of the founders of the Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. here at FSU.  She's very involved with the Tallahassee community by participating in numerous community service projects.  She enjoys reading, shopping and meeting new people.

Lindsey Clark is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Early Modern British History.  She is the Research Assistant for the Women's Studies Program and works in archiving.  She is an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and involved in Inter-varsity Fellowship ministries for Graduate Students.  She is happily engaged to Matthew Harrington, also a Master's student in Early Modern British History.  She loves traveling, reading, and waking up extremely early to work out (and find parking on campus) .

Everybody loves Strawberry Shortcake!


Kaleena Otero is a budding water-skiing enthusiast, and a sophomore at FSU.  She is a Criminology major, with a minor in Political Science.  She has a coniferous dog named Pinecone (who stays green year-round) .   Kaleena hails from Jacksonville .  After graduation, Kaleena plans on pursuing a career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation , and ridding the world of injustice in all its forms.
