HARDEE CENTER FOR WOMEN IN HIGHER EDUCATION. College of Education, Dept. of Educational Leadership. 104 Stone Bldg. Phone: 644-5867. Karinda Barrett,  Director. The Center provides graduate assistantship for outstanding students in higher education administration, sponsors professional development activities for women administrators in higher education, maintains a library resource materials relating to women in higher education and contemporary society, and stimulates research about women administrators in higher education.  Email: ndsfsu@yahoo.com 

FSU WOMEN'S CENTER. 112 N. Woodward. Phone: 644-6453.   Davida Silverman, Director. The Women's Center is a Student Government agency staffed by students. The Center sponsors feminist speakers and performers throughout the year particularly in conjunction with Stop Rape Week, S.A.F.E. Week & Women's History Month. The Center serves as a meeting place for all women, has a resource library and study lounge, provides referrals to other campus and community services, and hosts various support groups for women. Meetings on Tuesdays at 8:00 pm.    Volunteers are needed and welcomed.  Notes: All women's groups are welcome to hold meetings at the Center; contact the Center to arrange time, etc. See their web site at http://www.fsu.edu/~activity/womenscenter

The Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic in 107 Sandels Building provides premarital, marital and family therapy and counseling, family separation, and divorce therapy, as well as help for those in crisis and trauma.  Services are available to students and to the community at large.  Charges are assessed on the basis of the client's annual income.  For more information, call 644-1588.

The Human Services Center  in 214 Stone Building offers individual, family and group counseling and assessment for concerns related to career decision making, conflict with self or others, anxiety or depression, stress, assertiveness, and relationships.  Student clients pay $5.00 for each visit; non-students pay $10.00.  For more information, call 644-3854.

The Center for Family Services  in 103 Sandels Building helps individuals and families solve nutritional, financial, housing and interpersonal problems.  The fee for students is $5.00, or in some cases, free.  Fees for non-students are based o a sliding scale determined by family income.  For more information, call 644-3280.

Office of Adult Student Information (OASIS) offers assistance and information to returning students, including seminars for the Returning Woman (644-7550).  Call OASIS at 644-2409.

Victim Advocate Program assists victims of violent crime. The VAP offers crisis counseling, advocacy and referral. The VAP can be reached at 644-7161 and is located at the University Center, room A4328.  Jacqui Pecquigot, Director  jpecuigot@admin.fsu.edu
