Visit Suggestions

For prospective students and their families, we offer a choice of activities:

  • Take a Walking Tour OR a Driving (van) Tour

    Walking Tour
A student University Ambassador conducts a ninety-minute guided outdoor tour of campus (you are welcome to visit classroom buildings, libraries, and other facilities at your leisure after the tour).
    Driving (van) Tour
Enjoy a forty-five-minute guided tour of campus, conducted entirely in our air-conditioned tour van by a student University Ambassador. This tour includes the same information as the walking tour, but in half the time.
Tours are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.

  • Attend an Admission Information Session

This is a great way to learn more about Florida State University. An Admission Officer conducts this forty-five-minute session covering the application process, admission requirements, and more. This session is available to prospective undergraduate students and families, but is especially valuable for high school juniors and their parents.

  • Visit our Residence Hall Showroom

Our tour of campus includes an exterior look at most of our freshmen residence halls, with information about floor plans, special programs, and more….but we encourage you to take an inside peak at our newly constructed residence hall showroom located at the historic Suwannee Room - a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner.

  • Optional Program Activities

Some colleges, departments, or programs offer information sessions for prospective students throughout the academic year. To get the most out of your visit, please check the calendar as these special sessions are not offered daily.
