Operation Green Cross

We are the Green Cross which:

includes over 270 traumatologists from 15 countries connected electronically

includes most of the world leaders in and contributors to traumatology

cares about communities shocked by catastrophes that need the attention and assistance long after the news media and national emergency-oriented agencies and offices depart.

intend to train free as many Oklahoma professionals approved by the OAYS as Registered Traumatologists and then recruit them to join the Green Cross to help other communities such as Kobe, Japan and Pensecola, Florida, USA.

cares about all those with loved ones in Bosnia. My Heart Is In Bosnia is the home page that serves all those who have hearts for any soldiers, journalists, residents, and anyone else who is in Bosnia right now.

InterPsych is the primary sponsor for the Green Cross Project's Operation Healing Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Association of Youth Services asked for help in training at least 200 counselors as Registered Traumatologists by February 1st, 1996. We are now recruiting over 150 traumatologists to collaborate on the Operation. Most will serve as a faculty advisor to a few students via Internet, telephone or fax machine.

If you are interested in joining the faculty please complete a questionnaire which will be sent to faculty recruitment coordinator, Mr. Gail Davies..

What we need are letters of endorsement from individuals, organizations and institutions to be a part of a package to solicit funds to carry out this venture. We intend to raise all of the money privately, worldwide.

Please help us by either identifying those you would like to approach (including yourself, of course) to write a letter of endorsement or passing this message on to someone who would, or both.

Please address your letters to: Charles R. Figley, Ph.D., Florida State University Psychosocial Stress Research Program and Clinical Lab: Tel 904-644-1588 (fax 644-4804), Or e-mail Professor Figley by clicking here.
