Gail Davies, MSW is currently Director of the Florida State University Psychosocial Stress (PSS) Clinic. She served as nurse and is a Vietnam war veteran. She is the former clinical director of the Tallahassee Vet Center, noted speaker on Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, and a qualified trainer in Outward Bound. She is trained in all of the brief treatment approaches recently investigated by the PSS Research Program.

Charles R. Figley, Ph.D., is Director of the Florida State University Psychosocial Stress Research Program and the Green Cross Project. He is a psychologist, family therapist, and full professor in the School of Social Work, Florida State University (Tallahassee, Florida). He is Founding President of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies and Founding Editor of the Journal of Traumatic Stress. He has either written or edited 11 books. His most recent are Beyond Trauma (Co-edited by Rolf Kleber and Berthold Gerson)(NY: Plenum, 1996) and Compassion Fatigue: Coping with Secondary Traumatic Stress Disorder (NY: Brunner/Mazel, 1995)

Kali Tal, Ph.D., is the President of Viet Nam Generation, Inc. and a Networked Associate Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities at the University of Virginia at Charlottesville, where she directs the Sixties Project. She is the editor of the journal Viet Nam Generation, and the author of Worlds of Hurt: Reading the Literatures of Trauma (NY: Cambridge University Press, 1995).
