One of the unique collections is the Louise Richardson collection of "The Night Before Christmas." Miss Richardson (1889-1963), former librarian of the Florida State College for Women and Florida State University, spent many years collecting various editions and versions of the famous Clement C. Moore poem. Her collection was donated to Strozier Library by her family in 1963. Included in the collection are editions illustrated by such notable artists as Arthur Rackham and Grandma Moses, dime-store versions of the poem, musical arrangements, and many parodies.
