Lois Lenski. Spring is Here. (original artwork)
Lois Lenski, author and illustrator of over twenty books
of prose, poetry, and plays for children, presented Strozier Library with
a collection of her books, original drawings, and articles in September,
1958. Additional materials have been donated since that time. Included in
the collection are first and foreign language editions of Lenski books,
book illustrations, articles both by and about the author, programs of
talks and exhibits, recordings, Christmas cards, and book marks that Lenski
designed. Of particular significance are the manuscripts, background materials,
galley proofs, and scrapbooks of her award winning books, Strawberry
Girl and Judy's Journey.
