The Robert M. Ervin Jr. Collection consists of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and comics, and contains both primary and secondary materials. This eclectic collection holds everything from underground comix to foreign language titles, from classic pulps to Big Little Books, and of course a generous helping of Marvel and D.C. Comics. Over 1200 individual titles are represented herein, with most of them dating from the 1950's, 1960's, and 1970's. The collection is the generous gift of Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Ervin, and is named for their son, Robert M. Ervin Jr.
