Alumni Information
The Recreation and Leisure Services Administration program has a very strong tie with both undergraduate and graduate students who have graduated from FSU. Annually a newletter is published with information about the faculty, students, alumni and curriculum news and mailed to more than 1,000+ alumni.
On August 27, 2008, twenty-five alumni, faculty and friends gathered for the Annual FSU Alumni Social at the Florida Recreation and Park Association conference. On hand were members representing classes from 1970 through 2007.
RLSA Alumni continue to impact the profession in numerous leadership positions. Alumni in attendance currently serving are Linda Kotowski, President of the National Recreation and Park Association and Lanie Sheets, Region 3 Director, Florida Recreation and Park Association. Recent service by Alumni in attendance includes Donna Trafford, Vice-President of Professional Development, Florida Recreation and Park Association 2006 – 2008 and Terri Messler, past president of the Florida Recreation and Park Association 2006/2007.
