Internet Course Description
This course will focus on the development of supervisory skills to help novice, pre-service physical education majors and experienced teachers improve their teaching effectiveness. Supervision skills, to include establishing rapport and setting expectations, using systematic data collection instruments, using effective supervision strategies, and using communication skills appropriate for conferencing, will be studied and practiced. Students will also learn the characteristics and concerns of novice teachers and performance standards expected for beginning and experienced teachers.
