Research Interests

Dr. Beeler's primary areas of interest are in administration and management of recreation, parks, and leisure services organizations. A few of the research topics of interest include executive leadership, power and politics, and supervisory management. She has presented management papers at 32 national conferences and 27 regional and state conferences. Also to her credit, she has conducted 14 comprehensive national and statewide budget and salary studies for municipal and county parks and recreation>agencies. She also has an interest in park visitor satisfaction and served as co-principal investigator for a contract with Florida's Department of Environmental Protection to conduct a comprehensive statewide visitor satisfaction study for Florida's state park system. And, most recently, Dr. Beeler completed 3 chapters for a leading management textbook, Management of Recreation and Parks, published by the National Recreation and Parks Association.
