The meeting of the 60th Student Senate was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Student Senate President Nathasha Cole. Senator Brandow lead the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. SENATE PRESIDENT COLE SAID THAT THE SPONSORS ARE LOOKING INTO HOW TO DO A LETTER OF CONTENT FOR THIS CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. Resolutions: Resolution 43-Sponsored by Senator Benson. Subject: Having the DNC to count every vote in the Democratic Presidential Primary. FAILED UNANIMOUSLY. Resolution 44-Sponsored by Senator Alexander. Subject: Asking Parking and Transportation Services to inform students of parking lots closures on the website no less than 72 hours before the closure. Closing Announcements: Senator Howard told the Senate that he has been invited to a meeting about starting a United Way Student Association at FSU. Senator Waltz gave away coupons to the Senators. Senator Walker said she needs a chemistry tutor. Senator Mook told the Senate that her grandmother, Mrs. Bradley, is on the radio at FSU baseball games: you can hear her whistle. Senator Benson said that the committee is meeting on Monday at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the funding board changes. Senator Brandow said that he will be writing a resolution to prohibit the submission of resolutions that go beyond the scope of the Senate. Sandra Miles gave a quote: “the function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers.” Senate Pro Tempore Seifter told the Senate that he has gone to every FSU baseball game and has enjoyed himself. He said that FSU advanced to the Super Regional. Senate President Cole thanked Senators Alexander and Waltz for the free coupons. Cole told the Senate that the meetings for the changing of the funding boards has been very informative and she encouraged everyone to try and attend.
