Principal research and teaching interests are public policy analysis, public choice, environmental policy, formal modeling, experimental methods, and statistics. Research Agenda:As a member of FSU's experimental social science cluster, Ahn's current research focuses on experimental investigation of endogenous processes in the context of collective action and voting. He is particularly interested in how rules and institutions affect the outcomes in collective action. The questions include 1) how different group formation rules affect the group size and individual behavior in collective action (with Mark Isaac and Tim Salmon), 2) how networks and cooperation co-evolve as a function of information mechanisms when people can choose their transaction partners (John Scholz and Justin Esarey), 3) how information cost and voter positions affect communication patterns among voters in elections (with Bob Huckfeldt and John Ryan) Undergraduate Courses:POS3713 Political Science Research Graduate Courses:POS5750: Game Theory |
