Fall 2008 PIE Teaching Conference

The Program for Instructional Excellence (PIE) Fall Teaching Conference is an annual two day university-wide Teaching Assistant (TA) training program for new and returning graduate student teaching assistants. This conference will help ease the transition into the University teaching community as well as enhance teaching effectiveness. To register for the conference, please click here. NOTE: Attendance of the conference and completion of the PIE Teaching Certificate is mandatory for all incoming graduate student teaching assistants in the Department of Philosophy.

The Program in the History & Philosophy of Science (HPS) is proud to announce a talk by Dr. Joseph Travis, Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and Robert O. Lawton Distinguished Professor in the Biological Sciences at FSU. Dr. Travis will be speaking on the multiple causes for patterns in nature.

Effective Fall 2008, the Department of Philosophy will welcome Assistant Professor James Justus and Visiting Assistant Professor Seth Shabo to FSU.
