40th Anniversary

In 2009, the Politics of Education Association (PEA) turned 40 years old. To celebrate, the Association held a celebration on Monday, April 13th in San Diego, CA, at the beautiful and historic, beach-front Hotel Del Coronado.  Mr. Paul Vallas of the Recovery School District in New Orleans was the keynote speaker.  The Association premiered the film "PEA at Forty: Building a Legacy.”  Catherine Marshall of University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill was presented the Stephen K. Bailey Award for scholars who have shaped the intellectual and research agenda of the field.
