PEA President's Message ~ LORA COHEN-VOGEL

The Politics of Education Association is membership organization committed to fostering and supporting the conduct, dissemination, discussion, and application of research on the political functions and outcomes of education – preK through higher education.

To meet this mission, the Association’s Executive Board has established four goals for the 2008-2010 term:

(1) To redesign the Association’s website to offer a one-stop clearinghouse of resources for the conduct of political analyses in education;
(2) To increase the number of graduate student members;
(3) To offer the second annual National Educational Politics Workshop; and,
(4) To celebrate PEA’s 40th anniversary with a legacy project to document PEA’s history and a gala event for members and guests in San Diego during the week of AERA.

We are equally committed to maintaining our high-quality award programs, AERA conference programs, biannual newsletters, and yearbooks.
