Summer Cookout 2004

by Eloy Benedetti

On Wednesday, May 26, the Summer Cookout took place at Florida State University Panama. As is usual on every cookout we also enjoyed the presence of a visiting school, this summer, it was “Colegio Brader.” Everybody enjoyed the free food and drinks that were served throughout the day. Several games took place during this cookout. For instance, in the field a flag football game was being held for the students, faculty and the staff members as well. At the same time, inside, two tournaments took place: one was a chess tournament whose winners were Brian Huerbsch (1st), Alan Sanchez (2nd), and Christian Huerbsch (3rd). And in the pool 8-ball tournament the winners were Salik Ishtiaq (1st), Ricardo Moses (2nd), and Jose Chen (3rd). Of course, we couldn’t have the full cookout experience without the traditional water balloon fight at the end, this time held between two teams: Colegio Brader vs. FSU Panama. It is no surprise this cookout as well as all the other ones that have been held, was a complete success.
