Tallahassee Branch of University of Florida

The Tallahassee Branch of the University of Florida (TBUF), was the vehicle created in 1946 to serve the flood of men returning from World War II for whom there was no room at the state men's college, the University of Florida. One year later, in 1947, the Legislature returned Florida State College for Women to coeducational status and named153 it The Florida State University.
