His article “Goethes Ganymed und der Sündenfall der Ästhetik,” has been awarded the Goethe Society of North America's essay prize. The society considered nearly forty essays this year--the most ever--and the committee was unanimous in its agreement that the article be awarded the prize.
The award will be
publicly acknowledged at the annual business meeting of the Goethe Society of North America at the MLA convention 2008 in San Francisco.
