Reinier Leushuis will talk on “The Allegorical Genius as a Figure of Poetic Fertility in French Medieval and Renaissance Literature”
Christian Weber's talk is about
“Controlling the Creative Force Within: Goethe’s Reflections on Genius”
- Presenters include FSU faculty members from the Departments of Classics, Modern Languages, History, Musicology, English, History and the Philosophy of Science, and Psychology who are leading scholars of “genius” in different historical periods and contexts.
- This day-long event is open to FSU affiliates and members of the public. It will foster inter-disciplinary dialogue between faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and other interested attendees on this topic.
- The event will be held in the Scholars Commons Reading Room, Strozier Library, from 9 am to 5 pm.
