My general research interests are phonology, phonetics, laboratory phonology and morpho-phonemic alternations. Some of the languages and language families that I am most interested in include Romance languages (especially Spanish) and Panoan (spoken in Peru, Bolivia and Brazil). My current research projects are (i) the acoustic characterization and phonological analysis of consonants in Peninsular Spanish, (ii) variation in Spanish dialects, and (iii) the interaction of stress and foot structure cross-linguistically.
