LeBlanc
Dr. Leona Leblanc (Ph.D., University of Kansas) specializes in second
language acquisition, college foreign language instruction,post-secondary
articulation and curriculum development and foreign language instructors'
preparation. As the Associate Chair for Graduate Studies, she
is also responsible for all teaching assistants in French. The
author of a critical edition of Noël du Fail's Prospos
rustiques (The Scholar's Press, 1976), she now works exclusively in
SLA; her work has appeared in The French Review, the ADFL
Bulletin, and College Teaching among others. Her current
research focuses on the use and impact of technology in second language
acquisition.
Dr. Leblanc has received several awards including the Sir Edouard Morot
Pedagogical Prize (1998). She was Associate Dean, College of Arts
and Sciences, from 1992-1994 and will head the Institute for French High
School Teachers at its inception.
