The Latin American and Caribbean Studies Curricular Track (LACS) at Florida State University seeks to inspire and develop knowledge and experience of Latin America and the Caribbean across the University and far beyond. Our curriculum is interdisciplinary by design.  Drawing on diverse methodological traditions, LACS treasures and promotes the exchange and debate across departmental and disciplinary lines.  Students find thoughtful environments and actively create educational experiences through coursework, participation in extracurricular events, and discussions with faculty, peers, and a steady stream of Latin Americanist visitors to campus.  As the intellectual home for this interdisciplinary community of scholars, LACS supports a broad range of research and teaching, amid a broader array of sponsored lectures, cultural events, and internships.

LACS is currently hosted by the Department in Interdisciplinary Humanities.
