Swim With Dolphins Trip

If the fall semester is any indication of what the spring will be like… watch out! Reflecting on some of the activities we had last semester brought a HUGE smile to my face, as I hope it does for many of you. We rode the St. Marks trail then had a great lunch in St. Marks, we swam with dolphins in Panama City, Smiling Dolphinwe sponsored an academic field trip to the University of Florida, we had a football block for the Clemson game, we partnered with IS Union to sponsor several professional and academic workshops, and we partied at the Graduate Farewell!

I guess you can see why I’m still grinning!

Fall 2000 Graduate Farewell

This semester we hope to offer many other social and academic activities as well. Your SAC team: Doretta, Margie, Aaron, and Adam; along with our honorary SAC board members (Donna, David, and Kamau) are working hard to top last semester. Some of the events we have planned are: a book club (you can talk to other students, faculty, and alumni about books that have been useful to them), a UGA conference workshop (Aaron has been working behind the scenes to coordinate a workshop so that you can get friendly feedback from our experienced resident scholars), an Internship Panel (Doretta has been working with some of you to put all of your FAQs into a forum where they can be answered by those of us who have been on internships or other professional jobs), and many other events including another Graduate Farewell.

Fall 2000 Graduate Farewell

We sincerely want to help meet your academic and social needs while here at FSU, but we need your help. Please give us feedback on how we can serve you better and make sure to come to the events that interest you. You can always go to SAChat-subscribe@yahoogroups.com, subscribe to our group and drop us a line, or feel free to email me personally at fjf4178@garnet.acns.fsu.edu.

Until Next Time,
