IS@FSU Database

(Note: You may wish to print this page before entering the IS@FSU Database.)

The IS@FSU Database consists of the names, addresses and other information of all graduates of the Instructional Systems Program at FSU as well as current students and faculty of the program. The version you will enter is a pilot version (i.e.: quite rough!).

Due to the constraints of our system and resources and the immediate need to update this information prior to the upcoming mailing of Registration Packets for the upcoming March 2003 Conference, we have created a workable database to allow you to update your information and to search for friends and acquaintances.

Please follow the following process for this "working version":
(You may wish to print this page to make the process as easy as possible)

  1. Go to the IS@FSU Database.
  2. Click the word "Login", located in the upper left hand corner of your screen.
  3. Under username, enter: alumni
  4. Under password, enter: isunion
  5. Click the CONNECT button
  6. You are now connected to the alumni database (currently contains information for alumni, students, and faculty). At this level, you have three options:
    • ADD
    • SEARCH (note: leaving the * in the search box shows all records)
    • MODIFY

The easiest way to update your information is to:

SEARCH first, to see if you name is in the database.    (note: if you are looking for your name, you must take the * out. It does a literal search)
  • If it is, then click on "MODIFY" to update your information. (Note, you can't just click the ?, unfortunately).
  • If it is not, then click on "ADD" to place your information into the database.

Last Resort

If, after all this you are still unable to add/modify your information, here's a "work-around", last resort, only after you've stopped cussing way to make sure your information is correct in the database...

Complete this form which asks the same information as our database. When you click submit, it will be emailed to one of the ISUnion members and we'll go in and update your information.

This is time-intensive, so please try all the above first! (We appreciate it.)

A Word of Caution: In this "pilot version", you are able to modify anyone's information. This is both a plus and a minus. If you know someone else's information is incorrect and you have the correct information, you can update it. The minus side is obvious!

We will be working to improve the security and functionality of the database throughout this semester, so thank you for being patient during the process!
