Olivier Rolin
Visiting Professor

Olivier Rolin is among France's leading contemporary novelists. He studied at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris and is a reader for the Editions du Seuil. His most recent novel, Tigre en Papier (Seuil, 2002), was short-listed for the Prix Goncourt and is currently being translated into English by Professor William J. Cloonan.

In the Spring semester of 2004, as Visiting Professor in the Winthrop-King Institute for Contemporary French and Francophone Studies at Florida State University, Olivier Rolin will join Professor Cloonan in teaching a course on contemporary French fiction.
