Denise Brahimi
Visiting Professor

Denise Brahimi, formerly a Professor of Comparative Literature at the Université de Paris VII, is the author of numerous books and articles on a wide range of regions and periods in French and Francophone literature and film, with particular interests in women writers of North and Sub-Saharan Africa. In the Spring semester of 2003 she is a Visiting Professor in the Winthrop-King Institute for Contemporary French and Francophone Studies at Florida State University, where she will teach a course on 'Femmes et francophonie: littérature et cinéma'.

On February 13, she will deliver a public lecture in English on 'Algerian Writers Against Terrorism'.
