Dr. Briley Proctor is the coordinator of the School Psychology program at Florida State University. She teaches courses in the Combined Doctoral Program in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology, and also in the Ed.S. program in School Psychology. Dr. Proctor joined the Florida State University faculty in 1999, shortly after receiving her PhD in School Psychology from the University of Florida. She has taught graduate-level courses on the assessment of intelligence, psycho-educational assessment, school consultation, child psychopathology, academic interventions, group counseling, classroom-based assessments, and counseling in community settings. In addition to her faculty position, Dr. Proctor is also the Co-Director for Research and Training at the Adult Learning Evaluation Center (A.L.E.C.) of Florida State University. Dr. Frances Prevatt is the Chair of the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems at Florida State University and co-Director of the Adult Learning Evaluation Center (ALEC). ALEC specializes in assessment and interventions for young adults with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, or general academic difficulties. Dr. Prevatt teaches graduate classes at FSU on School Psychology, Counseling Children and Adolescents, and Assessment of Social-Emotional Disorders. Dr. Prevatt conducts research in the following areas: learning disabilities, ADHD, academic interventions; and truancy and dropout prevention programs. Jackie Galbraith is a second-year graduate student in the School Psychology program at FSU. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2003 from FSU with her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Jackie has lived in Tallahassee since arriving at FSU in 2001; however, she is originally from nearby Madison County. Living close to her hometown allows Jackie to visit her family and friends frequently, which is one of her favorite things to do when she can break away from school and studying. In the fall of 2005, Jackie will complete her School Psychology internship in Madison County. Following her internship, she hopes to stay in the Southeast and begin her career as a School Psychologist. Mark DiConsiglio is also a second-year graduate student in the School Psychology program at FSU. He graduated from FSU in December 2001 with a degree in Social Sciences and earned his Master's in Middle & Secondary Education in 2003. Mark moved to Tallahassee in 1999; however, he is originally from Livingston, New Jersey. In addition to working on Project G.O.A.L.S., Mark also works at the Adult Learning Evaluation Center where he provides evaluations for students who suspect that they may have a learning disability in the area of reading, math, foreign language, writing, or Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Kristina Burns is a first-year graduate student in FSU's School Psychology program. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Since relocating to Tallahassee in 2003, Kristina has worked at the Florida Department of Education and served as a volunteer mentor to 3rd graders at a local elementary school. In the past, she has worked at a residential treatment center for young women in crisis and as an undergraduate assistant on a research program coding mother-child interaction. E-mail Kristina here.

Vickie Rojas is a first-year graduate student in the School Psychology program at Florida State Unviersity. She graduated from Duke University in May 2003. At Duke, she double majored in Social Psychology and Spanish and received a certificate in Latin American Studies. After graduating, she worked in Los Angeles, CA, where she was an assistant teacher in special education. She also took curriculum classes on effective teaching skills. Once she receives her Master's degree in School Psychology, Vickie hopes to use her bilingual skills by working as a school psychologist in a Hispanic community in Florida. E-mail Vickie here.
