Foundation for Underrepresented Students in Education
The F.U.S.E. program is an initiative of the Office of Student Access, Recruitment, and Retention (S.T.A.R.R) office, part of the Academic Services office in the College of Education at Florida State University.
As a complement to and support of the goals and aims of S.T.A.R.R., our F.U.S.E. program is designed to offer graduate and undergraduate minority students in the College of Education an opportunity to come together and share their experiences at FSU, as a way to help them adapt to the academic and social environment of this university.
In order to support and assist minority students to find their place in our academic community, as well as help them bridge the gap between undergraduate and graduate studies, F.U.S.E. administers a mentoring program, by which undergraduate mentees are paired up with volunteer graduate mentors, who provide them with academic, social an emotional support.
Apart from individual mentoring activities, F.U.S.E. also sponsors social and community service activities, which help create and encourage unity and communication among all F.U.S.E. members: mentors, mentees, advisors and administrators.
If you think our program is for you, please visit our different sections to learn more about us. Should you have any further questions or requests, or if you want to join us as a mentor or a mentee, please contact us.
We sincerely hope you find these pages useful. Come back often for updates and improvements.
