Judge John C. Lenderman (B.A.) is chairman of the Florida Bar Family Rules Committee.

Hansel E. Tookes II (B.S.) is president of Raytheon International Inc.

1970
Glenn M. Cohen (Ph.D.) is president of the Southeastern Microscopy Society.

1973
John M. Awad (Ph.D.) is retiring after 35 years with the Florida Department of Children and Families.

1974
Marcia L. Stoner Smith (B.S.) is president of the American School Foodservice Association.

1976
Cmdr. Douglas J. Allen (B.S.) has retired from the U.S. Navy following a 24-year career as a naval flight officer in the F-4 Phantom and F-14 Tomcat.

Lt. Col. Mark F. McCarl (B.S.) has retired from the U.S. Air Force and is now a commercial pilot flying for United Parcel Service.

1977
Lt. Col. Philip A. Kearley (B.S.) has retired from the U.S. Air Force and is a civil servant on the staff of Headquarters, U.S. Joint Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.

Cmdr. James B. Philpitt (B.S.) was assigned to the Air Operations Branch at Headquarters, U.S. Central Command, MacDill AFB, Fla., and has been selected for promotion to the rank of captain in the U.S. Navy.

Col. Terry S. Preston (B.S.) is chief of Mission Systems at Headquarters, Air Force Space Command, Peterson AFB, Colo.
Clifford D. Wyllie (B.S.) has retired from the U.S. Marine Corps and is a Miami-based Boeing 727 pilot for American Airlines.

Christopher Knight (B.S.) is the new director of the Florida Highway Patrol.

1980
John D. Willis (B.S.) is vice president of URS Corp., one of the world's largest consulting engineering firms.

Lt. Col. Kent Barton (B.S.) is assigned to the Ground Operations Branch at Headquarters, U.S. Central Command, MacDill AFB, Fla.

Sen. Jim Horne (B.S.) was appointed as the state's first secretary of education by Gov. Jeb Bush.

1981
Wayne L. Helsby (J.D.) is treasurer of the Orange County Bar Association.

Lt. Col. Karen Lee Nigara (B.S.) has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, for outstanding achievement with the 2nd Infantry Division in Camp Casey, Korea.

Lt. Col. Ed Barnette (B.A.) is a U-2 pilot assigned to the staff of Headquarters, Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, Va.

Karen O'Brien (B.S.) was elected to represent Oregon at the National Association of School Psychologists Delegate Assembly.

Lytha P. Belrose (B.S.) is editor and communications director of the Florida Hotel & Motel Association.

Mitchell A. Free (B.S.) has graduated from the Space Systems Engineering curriculum at the Naval Postgraduate school in Monterey, Calif., earning an M.S. in Electrical Engineering.

Michel-Andre Beauvolsk (Ph.D.) is vice-dean of Laurentian University School of Social Work in Ontario.

Lt. Col. David W. Freeman (B.S.) is assigned to the Plans and Policy Directorate (J-5) at Headquarters, U.S. Central Command, MacDill AFB, Fla.

Mona V. Goldsmith-West (B.S.) received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of Education Buyers Inc.

Julia J. Dorminey (Ph.D.) received the Award of Excellence and Commitment to Teaching at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus.

Todd A. Berry (B.S.) has moved to a top sales position in HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation.

Kenneth J. Jargowsky (B.A.) is a captain with American Airlines, flying the Fokker F-100 jetliner out of Dallas-Fort Worth.

1987
Nina N. Ashenafi (B.A., J.D. '91) has won The Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award for the 2nd Judicial Circuit, which includes Tallahassee.

1988
Walter E. Forehand (J.D.) is a senior attorney with Lewis, Longman & Walker in Tallahassee.

Michael J. Goldberg (B.S.) is chief executive officer of Harris Drury Cohen, one of the largest independent advertising agencies in the Southeast.

1989
Sharon Delaney McCloud (B.S.) was promoted to main anchor at WNCN-TV, the NBC station in the Raleigh-Durham market in North Carolina. She recently won an Emmy Award for work in television journalism.

B. Dan Berger (B.S.) has purchased the Minneapolis-based tournament software company ScoreCast Inc.

Lt. Col. Mick Quintrall (M.S.) is a mission crew commander flying the E-8C JSTARS aircraft at Robins AFB, Ga.

Eric D. North (B.S.) is a major in the U.S. Air Force and is stationed at Hurlburt Field in Fort Walton Beach.

Robert J. Catron (B.S.) is chief of staff in the office of Rep. Ed Schrock of Virginia's Second Congressional District.

Sandra Parks Faulkner (B.S.) has been elected to partnership in the national law firm of Baker & Hestetler LLP in Columbus, Ohio.

John W. Forehand (B.S.) is a senior attorney with Lewis, Longman & Walker in Tallahassee.

J. Jack Kerigan Jr. (B.S.) was recently named one of the "20 People to Watch" for 2001 by Gambit Magazine and also one of the Baton Rouge Business Report's "Top 40 Under 40" community leaders.

Tony Gonzalez (B.S.) was named 2000 Marketing Underwriter of the Year by Amerisure Insurance, a large regional property and casualty insurance group.

Joseph S. Maimone (B.S.) is East Coast advertising manager for Billboard magazine in New York City.

Louis C. Norvell (B.S., B.S. '92, M.S. '94) was recently admitted to practice law in Mississippi.

Bill Ragans (B.S.) is assistant coach at Leon High School in Tallahassee.

Dana M. Lyon (B.S.) has earned a master's degree from Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn.

Kenneth R. Denham (B.S.) received a M.S. degree in Operations Research from Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif.

Capt. Joshua M. Lenzini (B.S.) is graduating with a master's in engineering management and operations research from the industrial engineering department at the University of Central Florida.

David W. Hursh (M.S.) received the Music Library Association's 2001 Walter Gerboth Award in New York.

Stephen M. Stansbery (B.S.), principal planner, will be responsible for land use and transportation planning initiatives in Charlotte, NC.

Christine Ostendorf Woodworth (B.S.) is assistant director of the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation. She is also president of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Catherine A. Bauman (B.S.) has joined the national office of the American Diabetes Association as its director of advocacy.

Capt. Chad Gibson (B.S.), a broadcast meteorologist, is one of only 20 Aerial Weather Reconnaissance Officers in the world. The ARWOs fly in the eyes of hurricanes and gather storm data for the National Hurricane Center.

Stephen J. Langel (B.S.) is political and policy correspondent covering environmental issues for Inside Washington Publishers.

Sarah Campbell Smith (B.S.) has graduated from Stetson University College of Law and has recently completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable James Dauksch Jr. of the Florida Fifth District Court of Appeals in Daytona Beach.

Belinda T. Orzada (Ph.D.) is an associate professor of consumer studies at the University of Delaware in Newark.

Brett W. Podoski (B.A.) is a health scientist at the Food and Drug Administration/Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition.

Michael R. Schopieray (M.S.) is associate director of housing and residence life at Northern Michigan University in Marquette.

A'Me Clark (B.S.) owns a management company, Star Enterprises, and has signed her first musician, who is on her way to being signed with a major record label.

Amie Naftolin Williamson (B.A.) is an account manager in Orlando of The Creative Group, a Menlo Park, Calif., staffing service specializing in freelance creative professionals.

Lori Sellers Rowe (M.B.A., J.D. '97) will present "Antitrust Considerations in Health Care" at the Society of Clinical and Medical Electrologists' 2001 conference in Las Vegas.

Phyllis A. Hytnen (M.S.) plans to spend a month in rural South Africa as a volunteer with the World Library Partnership to help develop libraries, train librarians and help people appreciate African writers.

Heather M. Byrer-Kile (B.A.) graduated from the Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis in May.

Kacia Duhart-Lyons Monts (B.S.) has joined TEI Engineers & Planners as a Project Planner/Engineer in the planning department in Tampa.

2nd Lt. Nicholas A. Philpitt (B.S.) has graduated from Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, Ala., and reported to navigator training at Randolph AFB, Texas.
