Martin A. Dyckman (A.B.), an editorial writer with the St. Petersburg Times, has returned to Tallahassee to write from there.

1959
Virginia Kiser Ray (B.S.), retired after 39 years in public education in South Carolina, was honored with "The Order of the Palmetto."

1962
N. Gordon Carper (M.A., Ph.D. '64), a professor of history at Berry College, has received the 2000 Vulcan Materials Company Teaching Excellence Award.

1964
Mary Carol Warwick (M.M., D.M. '85), a librettist, composer and educator, is composer-in-residence at Houston Community College.
Bert Westbrook (Ed.D.), professor of psychology at N.C. State University, is a Distinguished Undergraduate Professor.

1965
Dr. Edward Scott (B.S., M.S. '66), director of libraries at the U.S. Air Force Academy, has won the Civilian Meritorious Service Medal for support for library staff.

1966
John C. Lenderman (B.A.) is a circuit court judge in St. Petersburg.

1967
Dr. Craig J. Nauman (B.A.), a social sciences instructor at Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wisc., received a Distinguished Teacher Award.

1968
Charles Couch (M.S.), principal of Astoria Park in Tallahassee, is Region 1 Elementary Principal of the Year.

1971
John Antoon II (J.D.) has been approved by the U.S. Senate to fill a federal judgeship in Florida's Middle District.
John N. Casbon (B.S.) is executive vice president of First American Title Insurance Company in Santa Ana, Calif.
Stephen R. Stankiewicz (B.S.) has joined ECC International Corporation as vice president of business development in Orlando.

Capt. Herbert A. Speir (M.S.) is chief of staff of the Navy's Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Washington, D.C.
