Col. John D. "Jack" Sharp (B.S. '53, M.S. '62) has been inducted into the Florida State Athletic Hall of Fame for gymnastics.
1958
Richard M. Baker Jr. (Ph.D. '58) was the 1997 winner of the Moore-Stone Award, which recognizes his contributions to the success of the Florida State athletic program as a member of the University Athletic Committee from 1970 - 1981.
1960
Ronald O. Harrison (B.S. '60) has been inducted into the Florida State Athletic Hall of Fame for track & field.
Brig. Gen. Jay M. Garner (B.S. '62) is president of SY Technology Inc., an engineering and management services company.
1968
Paul S. George (M.A. '68, Ph.D. '75) was awarded the Arthur Hertz Endowed Teaching Chair. He teaches at Miami-Dade Community College.
1969
Ronald R. Johnson (B.S. '69) is the new alcohol, drug abuse and mental health liaison for district 11B of the Department of Children and Families in Key West.
Thomas J. Schreiber (B.S. '69) completed 28 years of naval service and retired as a captain in the Supply Corps. He spent more than seven years aboard a submarine, cruiser and amphibious assault ship.

Patricia Bambakos Harvey (B.A. '70), Rockville, Md., was elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
1971
George E. Tragos (B.A. '71, J.D. '74) was elected secretary to the Criminal Law Section of the Florida Bar and received an award for outstanding service.
1972
Edward P. Malles Jr. (B.A. '72, M.F.A. '73) has edited Bridge Building in Wartime: Colonel Wesley Brainerd's Memoir of the 50th New York Volunteer Engineers, published by the University of Tennessee Press.
1973
Capt. Michael E. Plante (B.S. '73) retired from active duty after 26 years. He most recently served at Naval Hospital, Groton, Conn.
John A. Rogers Jr. (B.A. '73, J.D. '88) has been named the Florida Association Executive Member of the Year.
Mary D. France (M.A. '73) was a panelist at a recent continuing legal education program on bankruptcy at the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University.
Kim Lacy Rogers (B.A. '73) was promoted to full professor of history at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.
Margaret J. Diaz (B.A. '73) has been appointed regional attorney in the National Labor Relations Board office in Tampa.
1979
James M. Porter (B.S. '79, J.D. '84) accepted a one-year term as co-chair of the Environmental Law Committee of the Dade County Bar Association.
1980
Dr. Scott Warren (B.S. '80) was inducted into the Florida State Athletic Hall of Fame for football.
James M. Denham (B.A. '80, M.A. '83, Ph.D. '88) published A Rogue's Paradise: Crime and Punishment in Antebellum Florida, 1821 - 1861. He is an associate professor of history at Florida Southern College.
1983
Christine Broderick Emmanuel (M.B.A. '83) joined Barnett in 1991 as coordinator of banker development and credit training.
Troy L. White (M.F.A. '83) had an opening reception for an art show of his recent paintings, in the DeLand Museum of Art.
Stephen J. LaMontagne (B.S. '83) was named a partner at KPMG Peat Marwick LLP in the Atlanta office. He works in the financial services line of business.
Richard "Randy" Dunmire (B.S. '83) was named a partner at KPMG Peat Marwick LLP in the Tampa office. He works in state and local tax practice.
1984
George G. Cassiere (B.S. '84) was named to the finance committee of the National Employee Stock Ownership Plan Association. He is the managing director of Goelzer & Co. Inc., an Indianapolis investment banking firm.
1985
Rolando Lopez (B.S. '85) was named a partner at KPMG Peat Marwick LLP at the San Juan office. Lopez works in the financial services line.
1986
Anthony J. Ettore (B.S. '86, M.A. '88) has taken a position with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as assistant general counsel in Tallahassee.
Paul Sorrento has been inducted into the Florida State Athletic Hall of Fame for baseball.
1987
Derek Schmidt has been inducted into the Florida State Athletic Hall of Fame for football.
Nolan Henke has been inducted into the Florida State Athletic Hall of Fame for golf.
1988
Rick A. Buchwalter (J.D. '88) joined Raymond James & Associates Inc., as vice president of office services in St. Petersburg.
Anita Clark Pryor (J.D. '88) has become a partner in the firm Brown, Terrell, Hogan, Ellis, McClamma & Yegelwel, P.A. in Jacksonville.
Joseph "Joey" F. Marmo (B.S. '88) is a stand-up comedian and a regular at "The Improv" and "The Comedy Store" in Hollywood, Calif. He was recently a guest comedian on The Jerry Lewis Telethon ('97).
Capt. Roland M. Edwards (B.A. '88) earned a master's of science degree in international relations from Troy State University, Fort Bragg campus. He will be reporting to the 96th Civil Affairs Battalion, also at Fort Bragg.

Paul P. Avallone (B.A. '90), New Smyrna Beach, has entered the Foreign Service as a special agent.
Gabrielle Reece has been inducted into the Florida State Athletic Hall of Fame for volleyball.
Lawrence Dawsey has been inducted into the Florida State Athletic Hall of Fame for football.
Paula A. Braswell (M.F.A. '90) is in Marquis Who's Who of American Women 1997/1998.
1991
Keri Bradford Anderson (B.A. '91) has been promoted to associate copy editor at Oxmoor House, a publisher in Birmingham, Ala.
1992
Matthew F. Skelly (B.S. '92) was promoted to financial controller for Sheraton Suites, Market Center, Dallas, Texas.
Tina M. Willis (B.A. '92, J.D. '95) has joined Lord, Bissell & Brook law firm in Atlanta.
1993
Elizabeth "Buffy" Baker (B.S. '93) was inducted into the Florida State Athletic Hall of Fame for women's tennis.
Jane "Kim" Batten (B.S. '93) was inducted into the Florida State Athletic Hall of Fame for track & field.
1994
2nd Lt. Roy L. Vernon (B.S. '94) is in the Army with the 82nd Airborne Division. He is the Headquarters Company Executive Officer as well as the Medical Platoon Leader.
1995
Jonathan P. Rinkus (B.S. '95) recently graduated from the Communications Signals Collection and Processing Course with honors and reenlisted for four years in the U.S. Navy.
1996
Shawn A. Coleman (B.S. '96) completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Kimberly R. Wheatley (B.S. '96) was named Million Dollar Producer at Silver Coast Realty.
1997
Dr. John C. Acquaviva (Ph.D. '97) has been named to the faculty at Roanoke College in Salem, Va.
