Dr. Dina Vyortkina
I got both of my Master’s degrees (Educational Administration and Instructional Systems) and a PhD from FSU. For about seven years I have been working for the College of Education Office of Information and Instructional Technologies (OIIT). Through my work at OIIT, I encourage COE faculty to use e-learning to enhance, learning, teaching, assessment, and research.
At FSU I was teaching courses in Organization and Control
of Education, Introduction to Educational Technology, and Organizational Theory.
In 2006-2008 I also worked as an E-Learning Manager at the University of East
London, London, UK, leading a group of Learning Technology Advisors and various
UEL E-Learning initiatives.
I currently teach Information Management Technology (CGS 5310). I am very
passionate about technology and its use in education. I believe if it is done
appropriately and pedagogically sound, technology could greatly enhance learning
and teaching, enrich overall learning experiences for students, prepare them to
be successful, effective and productive in their professional lives, and make
work of teachers and school administrators more enjoyable and rewarding.
