Dr. Kathy GuthrieAssistant Professor Kathy Guthrie joined the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in Fall 2008, after receiving her Ph.D. in Educational Organization and Leadership from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also holds a joint appointment at FSU's Center for Leadership and Civic Education, where she leads work in the Undergraduate Certificate in Leadership Studies. Prior to completing her Ph.D., she earned a Master's of Science in education from Illinois State University. Dr. Guthrie’s interests and areas of expertise focus on development of leadership skills and responsible citizenship in undergraduate students. Her current focus is on change theory around students’ use of social media and learning outcomes in relation to reflective teaching and learning.
