Welcome to the Sociocultural and International Development Education Studies (SIDES) Concentration Web Site!

 

The mission of the SIDES program is to prepare students to assume leadership roles in international and multicultural education through

• conduct of issue- or policy-oriented research and evaluation;
• design, implementation, and administration of educational change projects in varied settings;
• management of international and multicultural education programs of different types;
• teaching related subject matter in colleges, universities, and adult education programs; and
• providing consulting services to agencies, foundations, and governments in order to help improve decision-making and policy choices about international and multicultural education.

The different sections of this web site provide information of interest to current and prospective students, to alumni, and to our many partners in other universities around the United State and abroad as well as those working in schools, non-profit organizations, and government agencies devoted to the improvement of international and multicultural education.
