Fifty years ago, Dr. Hardee was one of the founding members of the Higher Education Program at Florida State University. As the program celebrates its 50th anniversary, it also celebrates the legacy of Dr. Hardee and her commitment to teaching and inspirational mentorship. Through your study and involvement with the FSU Higher Education Program, you are a part of the FSU LifeNet. The Hardee Center supported your academic study and professional development in Higher Education as a student through our LifeNet of supportive teachers, mentors, and friends.

In honor of the 50th anniversary, please consider giving back to the Hardee Center to continue the legacy of Dr. Melvene Hardee. As you determine your gifts to Florida State University, please consider designating the Hardee Center for your contribution. Whether you studied with Dr. Hardee, or know her by reputation, you benefited the strong tradition of teaching, mentoring, and professional development that she helped establish in the Higher Education Program at FSU and which the Hardee Center continues.

Since the Hardee Center programs and services are made possible almost entirely through gifts, your financial support is very important in enabling us to continue the important efforts that helped you as a student. Your gift will help support future graduate students through funding for travel to professional conferences, grants to help with research efforts, professional development activities, and recognition programs.

The Hardee Center provides programs and services through the generous support of students, faculty, alumni, and friends. Contributions are invited for the following Hardee Center activities:

Recognition of outstanding student and faculty leadership and scholarship
Special projects
