PEMBROKE PINES MASTER'S DEGREE DISTANCE COHORT PROGRAMThis Masters Degree in Educational Administration program will consist of twelve courses to include the eight core areas required by the State of Florida: (1) Curriculum; (2) Educational Leadership; (3) Educational Management; (4) School Principalship; (5) Legal Aspects of Public School Administration; (6) School Finance; (7) Personnel; (8) Technology, one (1) research course (Decision Oriented Educational Research), and three (3) experiential or applied courses (Introduction to Leadership Development, Designing, Implementing, and Evaluating Curriculum, Application of Leadership Theory). This program, plus three years of successful teaching experience and a passing score on the Florida Educational Leadership Exam (FELE), meets the requirements for Level I Certification in Educational Leadership in the State of Florida. The program will culminate in the presentation of an electronic portfolio of student work to include the Competency Based Assessment, an online 360° performance appraisal instrument.
