May 2009: ELPS is proud to recognize Dr. Roger Pinholster for UCEA’s 2009 Excellence in Education Leadership Award

Each year, the Department of Educational Leadership/Administration nominates a school administrator for the University Council for Educational Administration’s (UCEA) Excellence in Educational Leadership Award.

The Department of Educational Leadership/Administration is proud to recognize Dr. Roger Pinholster for UCEA’s 2009 Excellence in Education Leadership Award. Dr. Pinholster has an exemplary record of supporting students and teachers, as well as consistently supporting school administrator preparation efforts at Florida State University. As a principal at Fairview Middle School for the past nine years, Dr. Pinholster attends to both the academic and socio-emotional needs of his students, promotes interdisciplinary team organization, and exemplifies collaborative leadership. He demonstrates the type of leadership to which the faculty hopes all our students aspire.
