Thank you for your interest in the Educational Leadership
and Policy Studies program. If you decide to apply for admission to one of
the programs in our department, you will need to submit the following:
- A Personal/Professional Resume,
- Letter of Intent, explaining the basis of your pursuit of the degree, and
- Three Letters of Recommendation

- Foreign nationals whose native language is not English must also present a minimum score of 550 (paper-based)
or 213 (computer-based) on the TOEFL examination.
- Special Student Status. If you decide to take graduate courses prior to the semester of your official
admission to FSU as a regular graduate student, you must register as a Special Student for the courses to be credited
toward your degree when you are admitted. The courses must be relevant to the degree and program in order for them to
be considered for transfer. No more than twelve hours of credit taken as a Special Student may be included in a
program of study. Courses taken as a Special Student do not count toward the residency requirement for the Doctoral
degrees.
